![]() ![]() This place does a few things very well - namely, jumbo crab cakes and OUTSTANDING cream of crab soup. Sometimes average (even lousy) restaurants can have a few signature menu items which are truly stellar. And you like to be ignored in a dark environment with a bouncer and white table clothes to give a false image. Don't go here unless you are used to garbage on a plate. Two undone shelled tasteless cakes with one side. The salad was bland the fries I could have gotten from a fast food and been happier. They had shells in them so I can guess it was real crabs but that was the only way you could tell by picking at my food. The crab cakes were just that crab no taste. So once we got back the car I wanted to eat before the food got cold. ![]() When I got in the restroom it was not clean the floor was slippery and the bathroom it self just nasty but I has to go. This restroom was used by both the staff and the patrons, so I had to wait in line and as I stood their I looked a dirty tables that we're not cleaned off for the people who just left. So we ordered them.Īs we waited we decided to use the restroom. We ordered the same thing the jumbo crab cakes, he stated it comes with one side and he started blurring out the menu and the only thing we understood was French fries and pasty salad. Ok I still took a chance on buying over priced food. I stepped up to the counter with a display of crab cakes, fresh fish, pasty salad etc. It was bright and people were in there waiting for there order. Well we walked out in the rain to a door that was opened a found a storage/storefront. Tony opened the door and I wanted to close it, but we stepped in to a dark, dirty, old restaurant (if you want to call it that.) We stood there and no one greeted us, so Tony asked the bouncer (yes a bouncer) if they had take out and he said yes but next door. When we arrived I saw the outside and I thought cool. I took out the time to look up the location and called to make sure they were still open. Yesterday I was coming back from visiting my mother in NC and I remembered talking to a young man that used to live in MD and he spoke highly of Mo's. We were so displeased that on the way to the airport we gave our carry out to a homeless man at a stop light who looked hungry. I got salad as a side but be warned they have no cheese for it what so ever. You are given rolls and butter to start your meal and they were good. ![]() The food portions are huge! But, I ordered the jumbo crab cakes and found them to be bland and hard to eat with the pieces of shells I kept biting into. She didnt say bye or thanks for coming in or anything. She brought the box but then another waitress brought our bill. My husband didn't like his food and she didn't offer to substitute it or comp it so he just asked for a to-go-box. The waitress was pleasant but seemed a bit agitated with our questions. It list the meals but there is no explanation of what the meal contains which leaves you asking the waitress a million questions. I must say I'm highly disappointed with my food experience here. Went in on my last day in Maryland off a recommendation on crab cakes. ![]()
